I posted before about Katharine DeBrecht’s children’s book, Help! Mom! There are Liberals Under My Bed! I thought it was a bit tacky, but was sympathetic to DeBrecht’s feelings. My pal Heather over at Mom 2 Mom thought it was in very poor taste while Mrs. Happy Housewife found it to be great fun.
Well, she’s done it again. This time the book is called Help! Mom! Hollywood is in my Hamper!.
I’ve not read the books, but I doubt they are really meant to be read to children.
Anyway, I just thought that since I’ve been grousing about Madonna and others like her, I’d point you to this new book, which apparently has a Madonna-like character just in case you were interested. Apparently the stars have already seen it:
Much to the chagrin of many of the Hollywood stars parodied in the book, it ironically made its way into the gift bags at one of the big Oscar parties. “Oddly enough, I didn’t get my invitation to the Academy Awards this year,” laughs DeBrecht.
