You are the Potter, I am the Clay

Thank you, God, for making me poor,
so that I could learn to appreciate what I have.
Thank you for hard work,
which teaches me the value of rest.

Thank you for illness,
giving me a true empathy for others.
Thank you for difficulty,
placing before me opportunities to grow.

Thank you for weakness,
forcing me to draw on your unfailing strength.
Thank you for mistakes I've made,
causing me to seek your wisdom.

Thank you, God, for who you are,
and who you've molded me to be.
