Today is the first day of the KidzBookBuzz.com blog tour for RJ Anderson’s wonderful second novel, Wayfarer. I read the first book, Spell Hunter, a couple of months ago and was sure I’d found a new favorite author. (I reviewed Spell Hunter here and here.) I’m happy to say that book two has borne out my first impression: RJ Anderson knows how to give us entertaining, thoughtful, exciting stories, with lovable characters.
I’ll give you my review of Wayfarer tomorrow.
For now, just for fun: Here is the UK cover of this book, next to the US cover. I originally thought I didn’t like the UK covers as much as the US covers, but I think now…those UK covers are pretty striking. The US cover of Wayfarer, is a little pedestrian, perhaps. What do you all think?

I liked the US Faery Rebel cover better than the UK one, but the Wayfarer cover feels so different. For this one I definitely like the UK cover better, and because of the consistency, I guess I’d opt for UK over all.
From the Wayfarer covers (both) however, you’d never guess there’s an important character arc for a boy. Wonder if they shouldn’t have somehow incorporated Timothy.
